MSU Sends Students to Join “MSU EnglisHACK Season 2” in Singapore
Mahasarakham University sent student representatives to join “MSU EnglisHACK Season 2” at Singapore University of Social Sciences. The project aimed to strengthen students’ English communication skills in real-life situations and develop their global citizenship competencies for the 21st century.
The Office of General Education, Mahasarakham University, sent student representatives to join the “MSU EnglisHACK Season 2” project at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Republic of Singapore, during June 2–3, 2026. The delegation was supervised by Asst. Prof. Anyarat Nattheeraphong, Ph.D., Director of the Office of General Education, together with Mananya Nimpisan, Assistant Director of the Office of General Education for Image and Digital Communication. The project aimed to promote English communication skills in real-life situations and strengthen global citizenship competencies in the 21st century.
The visit provided an important opportunity for students to learn through direct experience in an international environment. A key highlight was the “SDGs Talk” activity, which served as a platform to build knowledge and understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The activity allowed students to exchange ideas on sustainability, social responsibility, and the role of youth in driving positive change at both local and global levels.
In addition, students developed practical skills through an upcycling workshop by transforming unused T-shirts into coasters. This activity encouraged the responsible use of resources and responsible consumption, while also helping students practice creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Throughout the project, Mahasarakham University students practiced using English in real-life situations through interaction, group discussion, and shared learning with lecturers, speakers, and participants from diverse cultural backgrounds. This not only helped students gain more confidence in using English, but also developed their intercultural communication skills, adaptability, and global perspectives, which are important qualities for graduates in today’s world.
