MSU Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs)

        Sustainable Development Goal 7 is about ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. This involves providing sustainable and clean energy to everyone without harming the environment or causing adverse health effects. Development in this area includes the use and development of renewable energy resources such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, and bioenergy. Additionally, it encompasses the development and utilization of clean and efficient technologies to reduce the use of energy that emits greenhouse gases and air pollutants. Sustainable development in clean energy accessible to all aims to establish safe, secure, and environmentally friendly energy systems. It also aims to make these energy products accessible at affordable prices and easy to use in all communities, ensuring that everyone can access clean energy and sustainably lead their lives in diverse living conditions.

Subgoal 7.1

    Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services by the year 2030.

Subgoal 7.2

    Increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix by the year 2030.

Subgoal 7.3

    Double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency by the year 2030.

Subgoal 7.A

    Enhance international cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy research and technology, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and advanced and clean fossil fuel technology. Support investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology within developing countries, particularly least developed countries and small island developing states, in line with their respective development assistance programs, by 2030.

Subgoal 7.B

    Expand infrastructure and upgrade technology for the provision of modern and sustainable energy services in developing countries, particularly least developed countries and small island developing states, in a manner that is both comprehensive and in line with these countries' support programs by 2030.
