MSU Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs)

        Goal 13 focuses on addressing climate change and its impacts. It aims to reduce global temperature, maintain sustainable environments, and help build resilience to climate change. Additionally, it aims to mitigate the effects of climate change and enhance adaptation capacity, particularly in vulnerable communities. Furthermore, it emphasizes increasing efforts to promote environmental friendliness and natural resource conservation, as well as adapting to climate change. Goal 13 is about ensuring sustainable development in relation to climate change, safeguarding environments suitable for human and all life on Earth in the long term, without harming climate and other related environments.

Subtarget 13.1

    Enhance resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries.

Subtarget 13.2

    Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies, and planning.

Subtarget 13.3

    Improve education, awareness-raising, and human and institutional capacity on reducing impact and adapting to climate change and early warning.

Subtarget 13.A

    Implement the commitment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in all its aspects, with developed countries taking the lead, in mobilizing climate finance from all sources to reach $100 billion annually by 2563 to address the needs of developing countries, in the context of meaningful mitigation actions and transparency on implementation and fully operationalize the Green Climate Fund through its capitalization as soon as possible.

Subtarget 13.B

    Promote mechanisms to raise capacity for planning and management in the least developed countries and small island developing states, focusing on women, youth, local and marginalized communities.
