The Office of General Education, Mahasarakham University, organized the “MSU International SDGs Camp” at National Pingtung University, Republic of China (Taiwan), during May 10–17, 2026. The project aimed to develop students’ potential in global citizenship, strengthen internationalization, and build understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals through learning processes and cultural exchange at the international level. This project was developed from the MSU GE Ambassadors initiative, which focuses on cultivating student leaders to systematically promote knowledge and engagement.
The delegation was led by Asst. Prof. Anyarat Nattheeraphong, Ph.D., Director of the Office of General Education, together with Asst. Prof. Intisarn Chaiyasuk, Ph.D., Deputy Director for Academic Excellence and Professional Development, and Assoc. They led selected student leaders representing all faculties, with two students from each faculty, along with one representative from the Division of Student Affairs and one student leader from the Office of General Education. All participants successfully passed a rigorous selection process based on language proficiency, leadership potential, interest in sustainable development, and readiness to represent the university on the international stage.
The MSU–NPTU International SDGs Camp was an important academic collaboration between Mahasarakham University and National Pingtung University. The project focused on promoting learning aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal SDG 4: Quality Education, which advocates inclusive and equitable education for all. The camp employed experiential learning and cooperative living activities to encourage active participation and practical understanding. Throughout the program, students explored and practiced key topics, including creating accessible educational environments, particularly for persons with disabilities; applying XR (Extended Reality) technology to support participatory learning; understanding the principles of Universal Design for an inclusive society; and examining the role of higher education institutions in driving social change and sustainable community development.
In addition, participants enhanced their international competencies through cultural exchange activities and community engagement. They also practiced Chinese calligraphy alongside students from National Pingtung University, fostering mutual understanding, intercultural appreciation, and lasting international friendships.
