MSU Supports Donation Efforts for Flood-Affected Communities in Songkhla Province

Mahasarakham University contributed to a joint provincial effort to send essential supplies to communities affected by severe flooding in Songkhla, demonstrating strong cooperation and compassion during a time of urgent need.

On November 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., representatives from Mahasarakham University took part in the official dispatch of relief supply vehicles at the donation center of the Mahasarakham Buddhist Charity Association. Assoc. Prof. Prayook Srivilai, Ph.D., President of Mahasarakham University, assigned Mr. Jeerapun Phukrongpetch, Director of the Division of General Affairs, to represent the university at the event.

MSU delivered donated items collected at the university’s donation point located at the Boromrajakumari Building. These included essential household goods, food supplies, and other needed items, which were combined with donations from across the province. All supplies will be transported to Prince of Songkla University, the designated receiving center, before being distributed to those affected by flooding in Songkhla Province.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Sanee Manosamuang, Vice Governor of Mahasarakham Province. The event also received blessings from Phra Ratchawachirapanyaporn (Suriyan Khosapanyo), who offered holy water sprinkling to give encouragement and spiritual support to the rescue teams from the Mahasarakham Buddhist Charity Association as they prepared for their journey.

This donation effort reflects the strong cooperation among provincial agencies, universities, and volunteer organizations in delivering urgent relief to disaster-affected communities. It highlights the solidarity and generosity of the people of Mahasarakham in supporting fellow citizens during challenging times.
