
MSU Community Extends Support to Flood-Affected Southern Provinces
Mahasarakham University has organized a relief effort to support people affected by the recent flooding in southern Thailand, bringing together staff, students, and volunteers to provide essential items and financial assistance.
On November 27, 2025, Mahasarakham University held a donation activity at the first floor of the Boromrajakumari Building. Assoc. Prof. Prayook Srivilai, Ph.D., President of Mahasarakham University, led administrators, staff, and student volunteers in preparing donation packages to help people in the southern provinces affected by severe flooding.
The donated supplies included essential items such as clothing, rice, dried food, drinking water, daily-use products, and menthol balm produced by the MSU Faculty of Pharmacy. These items were packed and prepared for delivery to the affected communities.
The University President also presented a total of 50,000 THB collected from MSU staff, students, and other donors. The financial support was transferred to official disaster relief accounts managed by higher education institutions in the South, including:

Songkhla Nakharin Disaster Relief Fund
All donated supplies will be transported by volunteer trucks from the private sector, with support from the Mahasarakham Buddhist Charity Association (Mahasarakham Rescue Unit). The transport team is scheduled to depart tonight to ensure that the assistance reaches the affected areas as soon as possible.
